8Chefs is a food service that delivers delicious, home-cooked meals straight to your door. It’s perfect for families who don’t have time to cook in the evenings, are tired of takeaways, or are simply looking for healthier, homemade alternatives. Our meals are freshly prepared from scratch—no preservatives, no shortcuts, just real food.

I’m Shane Pretorius, the founder of 8Chefs. I studied at the Prue Leith Culinary Institute and have over 20 years of experience in the food industry. My journey has taken me through hotels in the USA, catering companies, and restaurants across Johannesburg, and I’ve also been involved in launching new restaurants. Having lived the demanding life of a chef, I understand how difficult it can be to come home and cook a proper meal—especially with everything else life throws at us: work, kids’ activities, gym, yoga classes, and more.
